However, I made a mug exception. When I saw this mug I thought it was brilliant! Since then I have seen that there are several more that are similar. I doubt Starbucks came up with the idea, but still... I love this thing! This mug has become my newest sidekick.
It helps that it is an actual mug. A mug that is double insulated and has a neat, twist-off plastic lid. I even love the utilitarian look of it. (Although I could do without advertising for Starbucks... but I actually DO support them, and heck, they are local... right? lol!) My favorite part though, is that I can drink it with the lid on (like in the car while dealing with my three children) or off.... because there are none of those plastic ribs to make it uncomfortable to drink from. Not something you can claim from any plastic travel cup I have ever seen.
Since getting this thing three weeks or so ago, I haven't used one single paper cup from Starbucks... not even on Sundays when I have to be up at the crack of dawn to leave for market. Yay me! I have also stopped using my other mugs in the house... I just keep washing and reusing this one.
I somehow need to kick the Starbucks coffee habit. But the mug is staying.
Above is lavender tea with honey. Yum!
Next green purchase: Glass Straws!
(Just before I posted this, Don bought me another one of these mugs. He said it was the last one they had and he couldn't imagine me going all winter with only one of these babies he has seen me use it so much. I am a lucky lady. The Man loves me just the way that I am... mug obsession and all.)

Well, Starbucks can thank you because tomorrow I will be getting one of the mugs, AND I will be trying the Cinnamon Dolce Latte....that sounds so good!
I am so excited that someone else understands the mug thing! I like certain shape mugs, mugs i can cup in my hand, cradle them and savor my every sip!!
i drink more sbux than i'd care to admit as well. i also love cinnamon dolce lattes... and black tea lattes!
a group of friends and i meet every week at sbux to knit and last night we tried a new location that stays open an hour longer. we were all visiting and knitting and having a great time when one of the employees (the shift supervisor, evidently) approached us and told my friend who was breastfeeding her 9 week old son that she needed to cover her baby or go somewhere else to feed him! NOT COOL!! her reasoning was, although not a single customer had complained, she was afraid the men at a table near us would be uncomfortable :( it really left a bad taste in my mouth and i am hoping for a satisfactory response to our complaints otherwise i may have to find another coffee shop to give all my hard earned money too... or of course just stay home and brew my own ;)
Katie: Love to support local buisness! ;) LOL!
Cub's Den: Oh I hear you! I so love the feel of a warm mug. I have specific ones that I use for specific things... like only the small tea mugs are to hold hot cocoa... and only the big fat ones are for Chai with honey and milk. ;) The starbucks mug is an all purpose travel mug though. Feels good in hand, and has a lid... it HAS A LID! I am sure you share my glee. ;)
Erika: How awful! What branch was it? Can I complain too? And seriously, how much boob was showing? If she is like most mamas I know, that 1/2 inch isn't gonna kill anyone. And is way more easy to stomach than the guys butt crack at the starbucks I went to last week. But would they have asked him to leave? Complaints or not????
Geeze... what is wrong with people? At least he didn't ask her to move to the bathroom. I hope they clear it up, and give you free coffee to boot. ;)

That is so funny, we too have a bit of a mug fetish in this house and my husband, also loves that mug. He actually sells things with logos, and he is always getting mug samples. He came across one like that and has been using it whenever it is clean:) .....What a nice weekend you had, and so beautiful!!! What a place to spend time with people you love..
How funny that I just bought this mug for my husband for Christmas! I'm hoping he will start to reuse it as he is constantly buying coffee. I too love mugs but I am strictly a tea drinker. We should have a "mug collection" posting! It would be neat to see them all.
Hello - my name is Simple Mama and I'm a mug addict too. :) I think I'll be picking this one up soon.
Oh, I love you guys! I feel such a kinship now with the other mug addicts in the world. :) Jen, I think that is a GREAT idea! I will see what I can do about setting up a MrLinky for mug addict collection postings. :)

I JUST BOUGHT THE SAME ONE LAST WEEKEND!!!!! I never buy mugs either, but it was just brilliant design and I couldn't resist.
Valerie: I can't even be shocked anymore at how similar we are. LOL! Although, I found a certian package that was supposed to go out to you... oh... three weeks ago. I totally get the sucky friend award. Ugh. Mail. I hate it.
