Our new friends

Meet our newest additions to our suburban homestead, Sophie and Ariel! They are our new baby rabbits.

We thought at first that they would be terrified of the cats, but as we got them settled, Alex allowed the cats to come check them out, and Ariel seemed as interested in the cats as they were of her!

I think they will be a fantastic addition to our growing homestead. Not sure if we will be in time to get chickens this year, or if it will have to wait until next Spring... but chickens are the next step!

Awwww they are so sweet! I love it when they wash their faces!
I have been calling my bunny a girl for the last 3 MONTHS, but I took "her" to the vet last week to get spayed and found out she was a HE. So he got neutered instead. Poor little boy! All of his blanket, pillows and toys are PINK too!

They are so cute together...the cats and the bunnies! Are they going to be your breeding pair? I was thinking of catching some wild rabbits around here for meat but I don't know what to do with them...and having never killed anything, I'm afraid...
