Spontaneous Gratitude for the day of potential

The first day of a heat wave (77* Whohooo!)

Sun on my lettuce plants.

Hundreds of snow pea flowers, all in a row.

The boys, fixing things.

The girl, harvesting cauliflower.

The big, huge Father's Day surprise.

  15. Wow! Thank you all. :) I am due Feb 15th or there abouts. 6 wks tomorrow. I will have two winter babies and two summer babies. How crazy is that?

Right now I am concentrating on food (I know... you all say "how odd"... but really, it's a chore with 'all day sickies') Working on making meals so I don't have to for the next 4 months because classically, they are REALLY REALLY hard on me. With Logan, I ate McDonalds a lot and watched 10 years worth of Friends (because my hubby doesn't cook and was in two academies during my 42 wk pregnancy). It wasn't pretty. This time around, my husband can make all sorts of good mac and cheese combinations (Gnocchi with Gorgonzola and Leek and Peppers in noodles with fresh Mozzarella are just a few), and my teen can make breakfast like a pro. That, teamed up with freezer meals that I am making with friends and I should be all set for much less junk than last time.

I am working it out... but we freaked for a couple of days. Logan is potty trained. We kinda cried a lot. But slowly but surely, we are coming around to the idea, and enjoying the potential in the beauty of this surprise.

Love and blessings to you all!

    Val

  19. Oh, congrats! I love all of the pictures, too. Our heat wave is finally here and our lettuce is just about done.

I did lots of prenatal yoga, drank raspberry leaf tea, did aromatherapy and got pregnancy massages throughout my last pregnancy and had a pleasurable home waterbirth. I hope that you have a peaceful, powerful and pleasurable birth, too! :)
