Happy Birthday Sarah!!

This is my best friend Sarah.

She and I are so similar and so different, all at the same time.

We are blessed to have 8 year old little girls who have been best friends since they were toddlers, which equals many excuses to be together and plan things together.

To know that I can model a friendship like this for my daugther has been a gift beyond meausure. Our girls both talk as though they will be in each others weddings. In their minds, they will be friends forever, and I believe they will.

I am so glad she is my friend. I can't imagine this last 5 years without her. She plays with me, laughs with me, cries with me, and always eats my food... even when my family doesn't (unless it's fish).

I have been blessed by her more times than I can count, and I couldn't ask for a better friend.

Happy birthday my Love!

That is so awesome, Val! You are truly blessed. I really miss having a close girlfriend. I love my hubby and we spend lots of time together; but it is really great to have another woman to relate to. One of these days... Thanks for sharing! It lifts me up to see such happy people. Have a great day! I am going to go enjoy the snow with my wee ones. *Bless*

My mom has a best friend who has a daughter my age. We were infants together and grew up around the corner from each other. Just like your girls, we talked about being in each others weddings. In fact, we were pretty tiny when we made a pact that we would be each other's maids of honor, and that we'd name our girls after each other. They moved away when we were only 8 but since our moms were best friends, we saw each other a few times a year, never loosing our special bond. When I was barely 20, she stood next to me as my maid of honor as I married my husband. 7 years later, I gave birth to her namesake. 2 years later, her little namesake was her flowergirl, and I was her maid of honor. And one day I hope I have a little namesake too (they don't have kids yet). I get teary writing this. But I just wanted to say I KNOW first hand what your daughter has.....a bond most kids don't get. I pray those little girls WILL be in each others weddings and will always have a bond they can't shake even if they wanted to. Its beyond a blessing.
