Natural Egg Dying

Today we are dying Easter Eggs with natural dyes. It is really easy actually, albeit messy. But all egg dying is messy.

We have red cabbage leaves boiling (for royal blue), and then another pot with cabbage and beets (for purple). I have turmeric (for yellow/gold), and onion skins (light orange) all waiting to be boiled.

Then I am making seed tape for carrot seeds with my kiddos.

(I realised as I was cutting up the cabbage and beets to boil that they were all organic. Buying from the organic section is second nature to me now. I don't even look anywhere else most of the time. But what I found really funny is that my husband bought the beets. :) Yay for convert husbands!)

Thai tea is great for an orange color as well - if you have an asian market near you to buy it :)
