Valentine's Day #1

Day 1: Cocoa and making our Valentine's.

We had to be outside to make our Valentine's (which I will share later) so I decided that cocoa was called for. I made the cocoa extra 'Valentinesy' by adding red heart Peeps as the marshmallows. Added to fair trade, organic cocoa it made me laugh. But the kids absolutely loved them... so it was well worth the step into 'junk food'.

So cute! I might have to buy a package of heart Peeps just to adorn our hot vanilla or hot carob, or maybe try my hand at homemade marshmallows. I have never bought Peeps in my life, LOL, but I remember them well from my childhood.

If you do, the strawberry ones (the ones we got) were totally gross! lol! I would get the white with red speckle ones if we had to do it again... they were 'vanilla'. ;)

I also did not know there were other Peep flavors...guess that's a good thing tho. Strawberry...yech!!

What a cute idea! I love the "floating heart" effect. So sweet!
