Alice in Wonderland Party!!!
Yesterday was Cyan's very merry 8th birthday party!! My sweet little Alice was all decked out for the occasion.
Between my best friend and I, we took 312 pictures yesterday... and let me tell you, it was my craziest, most elaborate, and yet, best planned party yet! The kids had a blast! It was a bunch of crazy fun!
The tone was set with the invitations we sent a considerate two weeks ago to each kid. When they opened them, they were set in a mirror image! So they had to read them "in a looking glass":
I found a seller on Etsy who would do this print for me and it set the mood beautifully!
When the kids got to the party, they each got a cookie which said "Eat Me" and I got to watch them grow huge before my eyes!
With 'growing cookies'...
Boy did they ever work!!!
How could Wonderland be complete with out a crazy Queen of Hearts and her red paint??? (I found this fabric and it screamed: crazy Queen of Hearts apron!)
It was a relay race to see which team could paint the roses red fastest.
Next up was dinner and cake (of course!)
Heart shaped sandwiches and all kinds of good snacks were what was for lunch. It was the perfect lunch between the two games/crafts.
The cake was a store bought cake (my MO for sure!) decorated with fresh, beautiful roses.
Then the kids got to make their own wonderland critters:
I put out a ton of craft materials like pom-poms, pipe cleaners, googly eyes, and fun yarn and they got to use their imaginations to come up with a crazy character!
Favors were last. Everyone was sent home with a talking flower gift bag full of goodies and a baby oyster of their own.
The infant oysters were tucked into our gift bags, but they could very easily could be turned into dinner by a wandering Walrus or two.

I love the Alice in Wonderland theme and have been wanting to do one for my daughter. Maybe when she's 8 lol because she already picked Hello Kitty as her theme for next year. Good luck with your son's upcoming birthday!
