Whining a bit...

I enjoy getting lost. Especially when I cannot do the things I normally would this time of year. I cannot turn over the soil for a garden, I can not make plans where I am going to plant all of the things I love to grow. Some of it hurts. Esp on days like today, when the sun is out, and I would like nothing more than to go out and get my hands dirty. Knowing that I can't is sometimes almost painful. I settled for getting all my plants I brought during the move situated nicely on the patio in the sunshine. I know I will have a space for some dirtloving next year... I just need to be patient.

So lately, I have been getting lost. I have been in one series or another for the past about two months (after Christmas is always when I start planning my garden spaces). Movies, books, doesn't matter... just take me away. In the last two months I have watched the entire 'Heroes' series on Netflix, watched the 4400 series, reread the Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series, listened to the Earth Children series by Jane Auel, and in the last week I have gone though the entire Twilight series. It keeps me busy when I don't have something else to do. I keeps my brain quiet. I am offically out of brainless task ideas. lol.... Anyone have new ideas?

Val~ I'm just starting the Twilight series now that I finished the Sookie Stackhouse series which was awesome (more vampires). But my favorite book is The Outlander. There is 6 in the series and they will keep you busy until the ground thaws. They're more in the historical romance genre but everyone I know who reads them gets obsessed!

Wheel of Time if one of Paul's faves. I am reading through Chronicles of Narnia. Just read The Notebook in one sitting last night...I have a long list of classics I always wanted to read but never did too....though my mindless thing right now if playing Final Fantasy I....Paul got a playstation portable for free from someone and that game too.....It is such an utter waste of time, but it keeps my mind quiet at night when I tend to think too much- kids in bed, Paul's still gone...etc...

I have read all of those. lol... I have read Wheel of Time and Outlander series at least twice. The only one of the Outlander Series I didn't like was Voyager. What a weird book! But the rest of them I couldn't keep my head out of. When I was reading them my dh used to call me rude because I could not pull myself away during a good part. Not even for visiting family etc. lol... Hooked would be the world. ;)

Video games. I have never been able to get into them. Don plays WOW. But the only thing I can get into is Tetris or Hexic.

I started the "Weeds" series last night. Maybe that will be interesting. I watched 3 last night. Not my normal fare... But at least it was something to do right?

Thanks for the suggestions btw... they are certianly my taste. You guys know me well. ;)

Okay~ Lord John Grey wasn't my thing (unless Jamie was involved). Some others I really liked "White Oleander" (the book is better than the movie but the movie was really good too), "One Thousand Splendid Suns", and "The Glass Castle" (my 2nd favorite read after Jamie Frazer books). Some movies: "The Painted Veil", "A Good Year", and "Things we lost in the Fire". I like tear jerkers~ don't know about you...

Ok Jen... I just filled up my request box at the library with your suggestions (the ones I hadn't seen anyhow). :) I will let you know how it goes.

I did start watching "Super Nanny" and "Weeds"... both are interesting. They at least make me very happy to be living my life and not someone elses. ;)
