It's raining.
Sigh.
Looks like another soup and story night for me and the kids. Tonight we are having black bean soup and going on a continued adventure with Captian John and his siblings in the book Swallows and Amazons.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Hey Val! Or should I say "birthday twin"?
Not everyone on French Picnic knits, don't worry. Less than half of us do, if not even fewer than that. But hey, I still think you would love it. There are tons of resources if you want to learn (and I suggest starting with a washcloth). Let me know if you'd like some links. I can email them over.
Pretty pics!

French Picnic is wishing you a lovely weekend! :)
Beautiful pictures though! You make rain look like a GOOD thing :)
The pictures are really magical. I'm not a big fan of the rain, either, and I am still learning how to embrace it and love it. We sing "Welcome back to the rain, rain, rain" song from Circle Round CD as a family. It helps! :)
I hear ya. the rain keeps coming here in OR too. And, my hubby is also a swing shift cop so the evenings get long. But i think I'm going to whip up some of your soups to help ease through. Your creamy tomato basil is now a staple in my family...from OR to WI. It's become a "national flavor":)
Great photos, Val! They are beautiful! Hope you are staying warm and dry over there.
Thanks all. :) I could not help but run out with my camera to capture these beautiful raindrops!
Frannie: You dh is a swing shift cop too? Wow. I have to admit that the nights get really long sometimes. But it is better than when he was on graves. Man, him sleeping for my weekend was killing me. ;) Blessings from the north (WA). :)
gorgeous shots of the rain. now i wish the rain looked like that here!
