Tired mama and handy husband

I am one tired mama.

There have been ups and downs to the last two weeks being so crazy busy and this is one of the lows. This whole week Cyan has had Dance Camp at 9am every day. Alex's birthday party is on Saturday, and Cyan's birthday party and the house warming party were last week. And as if to put topping on the cake, Alex has to be at the airport at 5:30 am Sunday morning to go to his dads.

It is a crazy busy time... but the worst of it is, Logan (aka: baby furnace) hasn't been sleeping. Well, I take that back, he sleeps... just not for any amount at one time. He wakes at midnight, and Don, being still up at that time, puts him back to bed when he comes to bed about 1am (both of which I am awake for). Then he comes back in about 4am, and cuddles with me... wait, did I say cuddle? I meant smother. So by 4:30am I am baking and usually scratched by his sharp little toenails (which he gets from his dad. I don't know how they do it, but two days after cutting their nails their toes are sharp again!) and I get up and put him back in his bed. He sleeps until about 5:10am and then gets up and comes BACK into my bed. The whole process lasts until I just finally get up about 6:40am, exhausted and frustrated. It is like sleeping with a hot, mildly painful alarm clock continuously on 'snooze'. Let me tell you, it is not the best way for a terribly busy mama to start their day. Sigh. I am tired and frustrated and feeling like I don't have time or energy to breathe.

However:

We have a gas stove!! The gas guys took 3 hours longer than they said they would because we didn't have the hose in the right place under the house so it took a lot more money than we planned, but it is working! YAY! Don ended up having to put an outlet underneath the stove because the electric stove was hardwired in, but he did a great job and I am happy to say that it works perfectly.

Sorry I have not been around. I have tons of project pictures that are lining up to be posts... but just in the amount of time it has taken to write this one I have been interrupted and had to get up 4 times. I will come back. Promise. Just let me get through July.

Oh, I can relate with the busy-craziness of summer. Take good care of yourself and come back to blogging when you are ready. :)
