Another baby gift

This is for a dear family friend, Lesa. She has been waiting to have a baby for years. She has her husband ran into some bumps along the way but now they are expecting a beautiful baby girl and we could not be happier for her!

For her sweet bundle of joy, I gave a woolen felted hat. It should be perfect as this baby is due at the start of winter. I hope it keeps her little ears and head warm for the season. I added the hemp/cotton band around the bottom just in case she is sensitive to the wool on her face. It should be a sweet and cozy addition to the layette.

Of course, I had to dress it up for the occasion.

Such a cute hat! She will love it! I was just wondering, how long do you process your plum ginger sauce? Found organic peaches and plums still in season in central CA at one of our local farmers markets. She said it is an unusually long season:) Tricia

I processed it like sauce or jelly. 10 minutes in rolling boil with 5 minutes after the heat has been turned off.

:) glad you found some!!
