These beauties will turn into wonderful strawberries in about two months time. I can't wait. Last year the plants were stunted becuase I had to transplant them late. I was terribly sad about the fact that we only got a handful of berries after the plants produced baskets and baskets full. This year looks good so far.

Every week this garden gets more full and taller and I am just loving it. I added the prayer flags from under the patio due to us getting a new grill and fire hazzard. Then I added the bird house Alex made me. I LOVE it out there.

PS Diana Gabaldon is a wonderful author. I just got HellFire (the one about Lord John) from the library. Can't wait to see what she does with the character. ;)
I saw your comment on my blog. I have been way too busy to write. So much going on. We move house this week (where we will have the most fantastic garden - I can't wait to get to work in it...when I find time, lol.) We were in Spain last week (see AW for all related updates on that one...) and my felt exhibit is in a couple weeks and I am so not ready for it. Busy??? Who, me?????????? oi!
The garden looks absolutely beautiful!!! Love the prayer flag & bird house, can't wait to see what you do with the soon to be strawberries!
Katie, THANK YOU! I think your yard is pretty great too. ;) I have been thinking that you and I should read the same book and compare notes. Right now I am reading "Extreme Simplicity; Homesteading in the City" I am LOVING it. Not all of it can be used (or even wanted too... sorry, but I never thought about the idae of giving up my grass completely), but, in the spirit of the book I looked at the pic of your yard and saw places for all sorts of fruit trees, a chicken coop, all sorts of stuff... not that you need to do any of this... but seeing the true potential of ones land is fun. :D Would you email me your address? I will drop that book in the mail for you (Fast Food Nation) when I go to the po next time.
Strawberries are pretty easy to grow, aren't they? I'll have try that next year.
